Portfolio Review: $75.00
Message for an Appointment with a Certified Teacher
This fee covers an end of the year portfolio review for one homeschool student. The portfolio review is conducted by a certified teacher at Idea Bar.
Section 1002.41, F.S., defines a portfolio as “A log of educational activities which is made contemporaneously with the instruction and which designates by title any reading materials used and samples of any writings, worksheets, workbooks, or creative materials used or developed by the student.”
-
Florida law mandates that homeschool students undergo an annual evaluation. A portfolio review is one of the approved methods to fulfill this requirement.
This review verifies that the child is receiving an adequate education, as required by the state.
The review ensures that the homeschool curriculum and activities align with the state's educational expectations.
It confirms that the student is engaging in meaningful learning experiences.
A professional review can provide reassurance to homeschooling parents that they are meeting the state's requirements and providing a quality education for their child.
It can also provide valuable feedback.
